Why is making music important?

By learning and studying music, people become more culturally aware and I personally believe that music brings people together. I think that everyone should be given the opportunity to learn about music because it's an amazing skill to have. I have made so many friends by joining chorus groups because I have really connected with people who have the same music tastes as me. A person's taste in music can reveal a lot about them and it was easy to bond with other people who liked the same music I did because it turned out we had a lot in common.
