Mentoring Program Empty Mentoring Program

I think the idea of mentors has been a positive experience throughout the chorus program. My mentor is Caitlin Boyle, and she has been really nice and supportive. It helps to have an experienced chorus veteran to guide you as a freshman! Whether it be putting a kind note in a folder or just some words of encouragement before a big concert, the mentoring program has made chorus more meaningful for me. Caitlin knew my brother so I had met her before, and that made me feel better about going into chorus knowing that she was my mentor. Annie's mentor, Louisa Brady, is a close family friend of ours so we also knew her well. Both Caitlin and Louisa welcomed us into the chorus program which made both of us feel less anxious. Having a mentor is also great way to meet someone new who shares a love of chorus and singing. When we had our little get-together before school to meet our mentors, people were chatting and having fun with the upperclassmen. Overall, the mentoring program is extremely beneficial to the freshman in chorus. One thing I would change would be that I wish we could do more things with our mentors!
