Why Is Music Important?

Music is incredibly important to me and a ton of other students. I think that its an incredible shame that some schools lack the funding to have a good music program because school is so full on academics that kids, sometimes, just need a break. I love that I can come in B Block and just sing for an hour. Its actually really relaxing and I like that some of our pieces are challenging. Music requires concentration but isn't especially tiring. We move around and it keeps me awake. I don't know, I just think that all schools should have a better music rogram than they get. Some kids aren't strong in academics and would rather pursue a career in music or the arts. If their schools lack the funding for classes then they, maybe, won't know how strong they are in those areas.
