Career In Music Empty Career In Music

Post  LBickford Thu Sep 20, 2012 11:29 pm

As I become closer and closer to my final years at the Hingham High School, I often find myself drifting off into space of what I'd like to be when I grow up. As I've matured and grown I've always wondered what I'd like to do, where I'd like to live, and if I'd be happy doing whatever it was I chose. If there's one thing I learned in life so far from looking on the outside in, it's that I must love what I want to do, otherwise I will not be completely happy. So, in the past few months, after trying out for sports, doing art classes, or whatever else I could think of that would interest me I finally settled upon singing/music. I've always had a passion for music, even as a kid. I can remember how I'd acted out what'd I hear in the lyrics and I'd sing along to all the Toby Keith and Keith Urban songs; I was totally infatuated. Although, I never thought that I would take singing seriously until I began playing piano. So, getting back to the point, I've chosen to take a career in music. I don't only want to exist, but I want to live. I want to make something of myself, something that'll make me proud to be what I want to be. So, I've chosen to sing and act. I've finally found myself through music that makes me feel more alive than ever, and I crave for it now. Performing is my dream. Yes, many may say, "you're dreaming. Let's get back to reality." All the people that say that are the ones who will fuel me to success. This is who I am, who I want to be, and someday will be.
