Never before have I been so stunned by the incredible talent that I am surrounded by every day. This Talent Expo really impressed me. I really truly enjoyed every song and every moment of Thursday night. All of the choruses were incredible and so were the soloists! The special acts were so fun and different and really unique to this concert. I don't want to leave anyone out so I'm going to discuss ALL the solos and ALL of the special acts:
1. "Just One of Those Things" with soloist, Julia Genovese: Julia had the first solo of the concert which is a stressful task. But she handled it with ease and it really showed in how beautiful her solo was. I had never heard Julia sing before so I was excited when I saw her name in the program. With her singing the solo, the concert was off to a great start!
2. "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man" with soloists, Rain Breedlove and Abby Warren: I was blown away by their beautiful voices. As freshmen, they have gotten a solo in one of the concerts! That is a BIG deal. On top of that, they sang their solos with a true character which was fun to watch. Both of them have amazing voices and I can't wait to hear from them in the future.
3."My Favorite Things" with Will Kay: AMAZING. I don't even know what to say. The arrangement on the piano was incredible. It was a PERFECT first special act and it set a high bar for all of the other ones to follow. Amazing.
4. "Seasons of Love" with Rain Breedlove, Kate Crisctiello, Grace Doyle, Amanda Durkin and Abby Warren: Yet again, I was so blown away by these girls. Incredible job. You can tell that they put a lot of work into this piece and I was so happy that they were able to perform at the concert. I was so impressed by the ease and the pure talent that these girls had at such a young age. I am very impressed.
5. "Run Away With Me" with Brian Perrault: Over the past few years that I have been in chorus, Brian has never failed to leave me with a smile on my face. He really got into character during this song and I found myself just truly loving the whole piece and just wanting to hear more. Fabulous job.
6. Mr. Cincotta and Mr. Young at intermission: WONDERFUL JOB. I love hearing both of the teachers at intermission because it allows everyone to see all of the talent that our teachers have. That is why we have them and why we are so lucky.
7."I Got Plent of Nuttin'" with soloist, Sam Krumholz: I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING. It was so funny and so good and I really enjoyed. GOOD JOB SAM!!!
8. "Someone To Watch Over Me" with soloist, Elika Peyvan: Her voice just completely fit the solo and I really truly enjoyed hearing it every night at Spectrum rehearsals and it was incredible at the concert.
9. "Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now" with Caitlin Boyle, Louisa Brady, Aiden Brashier and then on piano, Aoife Kingsbury: This act had so much energy and you could really tell that the girls rehearsed it A LOT. They just seemed to have fun with it which made it really enjoyable to watch. On top of that, each and every one of them sang beautifully and it was just so much fun watching it. ALSO, Aoife was amazing with the piano. Great job!!!
10. "Breathe" with Eliza Daniels: Eliza never fails to impress me. This song was so powerful and so well done. I like have no words for how truly amazing it was. I loved every moment of it. This special act really stood out to me.
11. "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" with soloist Ashley O'Regan: Ashley has one of the prettiest voices in our chorus. I love hearing her sing and she really dug into the emotion with her solo which made it incredible to watch.
12. "Send in the Clowns" with soloist, Sophie Stoker-Long: I loved Sophie's solo sooo much. I thought that it was beautiful but wasn't pushing it like many people typically do when singing this song. The way she performed it made the song more genuine and a really great piece.
13. "Anything Goes" with soloists, Meghan Cashel and Brian Perrault: LOVED IT. The outfits at the end were hilarious but they still sounded really good while genuinely having a good time.

Needless to say, I am impressed. Great job everyone!
