Broadway Talent Expo Vll

Musical theatre has influenced popular music of today by inspiring artists to write songs with meaningful lyrics. Some artists put on entertaining performances where they sometimes wear costumes. Popular music can be emotional and can tell a story like Broadway shows do. My favorite Broadway show is The Sound of Music. This show was made into a film and the song My Favorite Things has been in commercials on television. Another one of my favorite musicals is the Wizard of Oz which came out in 1942. This show was made into a movie that is shown quite often on television. Other plays such as Grease and Mary Poppins have also been made into films, which are still watched today.
