SPRING CONCERT!

It is so crazy to think that our spring concert is 16 days away! This year has gone by so fast!!! I think that this concert will be so really nice, not only because of the amazing repertoire of the concert, but it is the concert where we say goodbye to not only the seniors this year but also Mr. Young. I like how in this concert each choir is doing one song on their own and then coming together for one group song. Treble Choir’s song Weep No More is beautiful. It is so powerful and has amazing musical moments; some of which make it sound like we are crying when we sing it. I think so far we have been preparing and learning weep No More Well. We have made very good progress on it and I think the count singing has definitely helped. Although it can get really frustrating I personally feel that count singing first has helped. I love weep no more but I love Song of the Mira even more. Song of the Mira is such a happy uplifting song and will be so much fun to sing with everyone, I can’t personally say that the learning process for Song of the Mira has been particularly hard because I have done Song of the Mira at Junior Districts last year. The song is very pretty and I’m excited to see what our chorus can do with it. I have to say the it is so bittersweet hearing all the seniors sing their part of Song of the Mira. I have found that being in Treble Choir this year I have got to know the upper classmen a lot better, and hearing them sing all together for the last time is both touching and sad. It will be so hard to say goodbye to such an awesome, talented group. I am also excited for the awards in the spring concert. I think it’s nice we get to see how people’ s hard work and dedication to our chorus pays off. Lets get pumped!!! 16 more daysss!!!
