I thought that today was a very effective, productive, good rehearsal. Our fall concert repertoire is coming along very nicely. Of course, nothing is ever perfect, so we still have some tweaking to do (staying on pitch, expressiveness, dynamics, etc). We're also ahead of the game on working on music, so the fact that we sometimes have extra time in class to do other things (like start the Stabat Mater) is great. I also love our impromptu in-class discussions, such as the one we had about the Mozart Requiem. The passion that everyone in Treble Choir has for music and its history is wonderful, and it's also very relieving. To know everyone else shares the same passion for music as I do makes me feel more comfortable talking about music and the arts with people in chorus rather than talking about it with my friends who are not into anything musical.
