Singing Assessments Empty Singing Assessments

When I first came to the high school, I was extremely nervous about singing in front of the class. We had done assessments back in middle school but usually the rest of the class was allowed to homework so no one was really focused in on your singing. The first few assessments of freshman year were nerve-wracking but our class was so nice and supportive that it became easy to sing in front of each other. This year in Treble choir I was nervous about singing in front of the class again because not only would I be singing in front of my peers, but most of them would be upperclassmen. I feel that singing in front of the class has made me more critical of my singing because I want to sound good. As a result my singing as a whole has improved. While it still makes me a bit anxious I don't mind the assessments so much anymore.
