my favorite songs and artists

My choice of music is usually decided by my mood. Songs that never get old for me would be "fall for you" secondhand serenade, any Eminem, "motivation" Kelly Rowland and Lil Wayne. I prefer older rap it is more my taste, most new rap isn’t as good. Some of my favorite bands include Smashing Pumpkins, Linkinpark, the Cranberries, and Evanescence. As a child my dad got me into rock so now I find myself listening to rock whenever pop gets to repetitive, which is most of the time. Even though pop has a good beat I find a lot of its lyrics empty and meaningless. Rap has much more meaning and it connects with the listener. Eminem is the greatest rapper of all time hands down. His rhymes are legendary. A new CD that I find myself playing over and over again would be Claire Maisto’s music, her lyrics connect with me and I end up having her songs stuck in my head all day. I guess you can love any type of music you just have to open yourself up to it.
