Musical Events outside of HHS

Just yesterday, I was at church and my youth minister approached me and two other girls asking us to sing at mass. For as embarassing as it can be, it wasn't terrible. I took a little satisfaction that I was able to sight read the music and even though we stumbled a few times, it was a musical experience. Although singing in the church choir isn't a big deal, I realized yesterday how much I've musically matured in the past year. I feel like indulging yourself in music outside of school can be extremely rewarding. I also recently had the opportunity to listen to an acapella group in Boston. I completely forget the name of the group because they were performing in the street; however, I considered a musical "event" being able to see what the music industry is really about outside of HHS. I hope that I have the ability to attend more musical events outside of HHS over the summer.
