Personalizing Room 197

I feel like we go back and forth about what to do with the chorus room. I know I do. I remember freshmen year how we always had the shades open and the lights off. It personally made me feel sleepy, but that was also the first block of the day. Now I feel like the lights are too harsh. It would be nice to let natural light in (and be green by keeping the lights off!). Reiterating the bulletin boards! They are dreary. I look at them and start snoring. I think maybe twice since I have been in Hingham High chorus that there was ever something on one of the boards. I remember there were pictures from one of the concerts for a brief period of time. Drama has pictures on a bulletin board in the hall and orchestra has pictures inside their room. We always talk about being a family. Don’t families have pictures! We talked about putting pictures up last year… that didn’t happen. Let’s make it happen! I think anyone should be able to stick up pictures from any chorus events. There should be someone to start it off and then anybody can add pictures, or anything that’s music related that they find interesting, to it. We need to make the room more home-y – natural light and pictures!
