Chorus Council

Next year, with the new teacher, things in chorus are going to be very different. I like how next year the chorus council will be made up of a various number students from different grades. When voting we weren't restricted to a certain number of juniors or sophomores, we were able to vote for the students we felt would best represent our chorus. This is a reflection on the chorus program mainly because unlike other classes there isn't a separation between the grades. Although a student must complete concert chorale their freshman year, mixed chorus is open to sophomore through seniors. I feel that this helps us bond with the underclassmen as our peers. I see the younger students in my class as equals. I believe the members of the council will continue to help our program develop, despite the major changes of next year.

Although I recently found out that chorus is most likley not going to fit into my schedule next year, I totally agree with Katie on the importance of having the chorus concil next year. With all of the changes that are going to be made, I feel confident that the group of students that were chosen to be inthe council will help to uphold the same standard of professionalism that we has for the past three years. I feel sad to be leaving the program, but I know that chorus will keep gaining momentum and with the help of a strong council it will flourish in the upcoming years.
