Careers in Music.
When I graduate in 2014 from Hingham High School, I know exactly what I want to do. I want to go to college and study music so that someday I can become a music teacher. Music isn't just another part of my day, to me it's how I function. Everything I do has to do with music. It's my little escape from this crazy, messed up world. But getting the chance to be able to learn how to teach the thing I love, then I'll always have that escape. Some people think that I'm just saying that I want to be a music taecher because I haven't looked into other majors but I have. When I was younger, I wanted to become a police officer. Then middle school came around and I fell in love with math so I wanted to taech that when I was older. But when I went into my freshman year of high school, I realized that my real passion and love was for music. The first two or three weeks of freshman year, I was only in chorus. I missed band so much though. So I dropped out of gym so that I could take band and chorus. That was probably the best decision of my life. During my sophomore year, I took band and chorus as well. That was when I decided that I was going to become a music teacher no matter what and that nothing would change my mind. Now it's my junior year and I want to take more leadership opportunities so that I can learn how to handle teenagers (since I want to be a HIGH SCHOOL music teacher). I really hope that through out the year, I can show everyone that I'm not just doing this because I have to, or because there is nothing else I am interested in. I want to show everyone my love and passion for music. I want to show everyone that I CAN be serious and not be goofy all the time. I want to show everyone what I can do.
