Careers in Music

Hearing Christina Pecce sing her wonderful solo in Benedictus sparked a kind of revelation in me. I used to never consider music as an option for a major in college, but the level that she said she improved inspired me. Right from the moment she opened her mouth, an overwhelming sense of admiration and inspiration washed over me. Christina herself was just so humble and open, and I really admired her. Careers in music can be hard to come by, and I don’t really expect to do music for an occupation, but at the same time, I don’t want my experience in singing to end after high school. I take singing for granted; I never realize how much I love it until I’m singing in chorus and I stop to listen to us…and we just sound really, really good. I’m excited for our concert and I wish everyone the best of luck! Go Major Works ’11!
