Chorus Council

I think that the presence of a Chorus Council has been extremely helpful in improving the relations within the chorus program. Not that the relations were so bad in the first place, but I think having people our age that have some power behind the decisions that Mr. Young makes is helpful in creating a more open and honest environment, because we feel that we can speak our minds, while Mr. Young maintains his ultimate position as a teacher and director. Since Chorus is so close, I feel like most people would be comfortable going up to our selected Chrous Council members and making suggestions that they can then bring to their meetings in order to discuss in a way that doesn’t involve the entire chorus. I think when a smaller number of people discuss an issue, it is easier for people to be respectful and honest because of the small setting they are in. [justify]
