Sight Singing

When we first started these new sight singing and ear training exercises at the beginning of class, I was a bit skeptical as to if they would work. I thought that it would be more beneficial to just sing for our books. Now that we have been working with the new exercises for a few weeks, I understand much better how helpful they are. I can feel myself becoming stronger in ear training as I am beginning to easily recognize patterns of notes by ear, which was difficult for me before. I also like the flashcards that we are using because they help us to look at the notes as a group instead of just individually. One thing I know I am still struggling with is half steps in the scale, so I hope in the next few weeks I will improve in that as well!
