Almost every day in chorus, we start off by practicing our sight singing. Although a lot of people dislike sight singing, I think it is very beneficial to the success of the chorus. Once we start to get the hang of it, it will be so easy. For book 4 it has already started to become much simpler than it was in previous years. There are more leaders in the group now than followers, and I think that is a really impressive step. Book three is even getting a lot better at sight singing. Sometimes both groups only have to go through solfege and count singing once now. The other day book four went straight to count singing without even starting with solfege and we did a pretty good job. Im really impressed with how hard everyone works on sight singing. We progress more every time we do those exercises and its really important that we keep it up!
