Dr. Paul Cappers

My voice teacher (And I believe Brian's as well) is Dr. Paul Cappers. He was Mr. Youngs predecessor in the position at the head of the Music Department and was a former Chorus teacher at the High School. He plays many instruments, such as the piano, the acoustic guitar, the bass, the cello (I think) and he teaches voice. He's an excellent teacher who goes through music step by step, learning the rhythms, then the tune, then the words and putting them all together. He is very experienced and when a song comes together, his unique teaching style should be credited. He helped me get into Jr. SEMSBA once (the other time I didn't audition by choice) and helped me make Jr. Districts twice - he's very good at preparing students for festival auditions and knows what the process usually entails. He's a great guy and an awesome teacher.
