Festie - Onward

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post about performing arts that don't involve music, but since the prompt didn't specify, I thought I'd talk about our entry for Festie this year, "Onward," and our experiences at the Preliminary Round of competition yesterday. In my opinion, Prelims seemed a lot more competitive this year than it has seemed in years past. There were no three shows that we knew were going to move forward, and we realized this more and more progressing through the day. However, we did more forward, and I honestly thought that we completely deserved to. This production has been very confusing for the cast because it's an original work, and some of the scripted aspects of the production just didn't work when put onstage. But with a lot of effort, creativity, and patience from the cast, crew, and Ms. Sisk, we found the show, and we made it ours. I think that's something that we're all incredibly proud of, and I can't wait to see what happens next weekend at the Semi-Final round. Thanks so everyone in chorus who came to HHS on Wednesday night to support us, or even to the actual competition yesterday!
